Who are Buggy and Bike ?

Buggy and Bike was founded in 2007 by Leonardo and Angela. They have both travelled extensively “off the beaten track” by bike, by quad, by buggy and truck for years in some of the most beautiful areas of Europe and Africa including Romania, Albania, Italy, Sicily, Spain, Portugal, Tunisia, Morocco …

Their first base was opened in Tataouine Tunisia and one of the main driving forces behind setting up an adventure business was to share their experiences with you and guide you through the unbelievable areas that they know.

In 2015 after many fun filled and successful years they both decided to set up a second base in the Algarve Portugal and the beauty of having one base in Europe and the other in Africa leaves them very adaptable and accommodating in relation to allowing the customer to choose where they would like to explore.

Leonardo

A Professional guide and mechanical engineer. He is a passionate enduro rider and a great traveller. At 18 years of age he began his extreme travelling adventure leaving Italy he headed towards Russia, travelling to the Artic Circle, Katsaquistan, Kighistan, on returning to Europe he travelled to Morocco and settled in Tunisia.
From cold to hot, from tundra to desert, from snow to frost, from frost to sand, by lorry, by buggy and bike.

His experience in the world of adventure makes him the ideal person to give you a wonderful and unforgettable experience regardless of your level, whether you are a beginner or an experienced pilot and he is always up for a challenge as well as a laugh.

In order to widen your spirit of adventure he has created Buggy and Bike Portugal. We offer you the best service available because we believe in what we do and are all so passionate when it comes to fulfilling the customers needs and guarantee one hundred percent customer satisfaction.

Angela

Together they decided to explore North Africa. They fell in love with its people along with the enchanting locations and were driven by the desire of creating their own company to share their experiences with you. After setting up Buggy & Bike in Tataouine in 2007 and after their African adventures, they headed towards new horizons creating a new base in Portugal in the Algarve, offering a wider range of destinations.

Angela is the gifted co-ordinator who knows her role inside out and runs the logistics within Buggy and Bike, she has the answers to all your questions, preparing the best package for your experience with Buggy & Bike.

She will organise the various means of transport, flights, ferries, airport and accommodation transfers, overnight accommodation, along with the associated documentation to ride in areas such as the Sahara and whatever else is required in order to offer you a hassle free experiance so that all you need to do is choose your destination and look forward to your riding adventure.

Angela speaks Italian, French, Portuguese and English.

What do we offer ?

Here at Buggy and Bike we offer you the chance to come and ride with us, whether it is on one of our fully prepared range of KTM EXC 300 TPI s or EXCF 250 s or your own bike. All our bikes are less than three years old and are maintained to a very high standard regardless of cost as we know that there is nothing worse than riding bikes that are not up to or capable of making the grade.

Motorcycle: a mix of passion, a sense of freedom and adrenaline allows you to live a unique experience off the beaten track. Riding a bike you can take all levels of exciting off-road circuits from the vast dunes of the Sahara desert overlooking the immense Eastern Erg and feeling the emotions of the great riders of the African rallies to inland Portugal and Andalusia with our professional staff, technical support and logistics.

Category A Licence required for Motorcycle Tours and must be aged 20 and held licence for a minimum of one year.

EBuggies are fun vehicles that provoke intense emotions, giving you a great sensation of speed. It is a very capable and user friendly vehicle able to tackle the toughest of terrain. It is comfortable, safe and you do not need to be an expert to drive a buggy, all you need is your driving license. Buggy tours are available to everyone, the buggies are not designed for high speed racing but more for long trips on the off-road trails, its tyres and suspension allow for good road holding promoting confidence and an exhilarating feeling of freedom. Ideal for excursions with the entire family.

The customer can decide where they want to explore, fly or drive to that destination were they will be met by the highly experienced and very capable Buggy and Bike team who will accompany and guide you through the entire duration of your tour.

It is also possible to ride your own bike at your chosen destination as we can transport your bike and gear and have it waiting for you.

At our Portugal base you can also hire and self drive any of our vehicles, you can collect your chosen vehicle from our premises or you can have your vehicle delivered to your accommodation.

We can put together any package or combination of packages, all we need is for you to contact us and tell us what you need to make your experience an unforgettable one. From just having a fun time exploring the sites to extreme Enduro and following the recent 2019 ISDE trails in Portugal. We always do our best to give the client the best experience.

If you want to have a few days Enduro riding and you have the family with you they can have a Quad or Buggy and Kayak tour as this is very popular for the family orientated holiday. The duration of these tours are from a half day up to four or five days or longer if you wish, again these can be tailored to your specific needs.

Quad/SSV: these vehicles are considered the 4-wheel motorcycle or mini-SUV that offers more. These vehicles never give up and again are very comfortable for driver and passengers alike. They are also more capable than what we give them credit for due to their off road stability and torquey engines. With these features these vehicles do not let you down when the going gets tough.
